It's offical the $8,000 first-time home buyers tax credit has been extended. The tax credit has been extended for first-time home buyers who have a binding contract in place prior to April 30th, 2010.
The tax credit has also been expanded to include a $6,500 credit to homebuyers who have been in their current residence for five or more consecutive years out of the last eight years.
