I think most of us that live here do not go more than a day or maybe two without realizing the incredible beauty of the Fraser Valley and all that it has to offer. It would be nearly impossible to. Having said that, as a local, it is really easy to get caught up in all of the day to day "stuff", and not get out and do many of the things that draw people from thousands of miles away to this special place we call home. That is why it's always nice when people from out of town come to visit, it forces us to get out and partake in some really great activities, that we otherwise wouldn't. My sister and her kids, Avery, age 11, and Riley, age 8, came to visit me last week from Vermont! It was an action packed week filled with down hill biking, a Grand Lake adventure, The Georgetown Loop Railroad, horse back riding, and their favorite white water rafting on the Colorado River!! We used Red Tail Rafting in Fraser and they were really wonderful! They provided transportation to and from the Colorado River in Kremmling, life vests, lunch and really great guides that made the trip a blast!! Check out their website, www.redtailrafting.com. Mad Adventures is another outfit out of Fraser that offers a similar experience. Their website iswww.madadventures.com. So get out there and get wet!!! If you're feeling really brave ask to jump off of Jump Rock!! I did it. So for sure you can too!!
