Gobble Charity Fun Race at Winter Park Resort on Thanksgiving Day - by Julie White

Afteryou gobble downyour Thanksgiving meal, get to the Winter Park Resort for the Second Annual Gobble Charity Fun Race! The fun race will start off at the base of Sorensen Park and head up Turnpike towards 300 Yard Walk. It will then proceed down 300 Yard Walk to Village Way, and then down Village Way to the finish line at the base of the Gemini Express Lift (totaling 1.23 miles). This will be a great events for people of all ages to participate in! The race will start promptly at 4pm. All participants must use either cross country skis, skis with skins, or snowshoes. No foot traffic allowed! Registration will be at the Balcony House, on the first level, from noon 3pm. Registration is non-perishable food items. The food items will be donated to local foundations to be distributed throughout the valley. First prize is dinner for two at The Lodge at Sunspot, second place is a $50 Winter Park Resort gift card and third place is a $25 Goodys gift card.
