Will theNational housing crisis end in 2012? Well that is what some are predicting. In a recent article called "Housing Crisis to End in 2012 as Banks Loosen Credit Standards," it's is suggested that since banks are lowering their credit standard requirements and lending more, that it will help to end the housing crisis. As far as the Winter Park Area goes, we typically lag behind the rest of the county. So if this still holds true asfar as the real estate crisis is concerned, then we can expect to see the Nation "recover" first, following by Grand County, CO. Of course, predictions are still just that, predictions. Nothing is guaranteed and no one can forecast the exact future of the housing market. Are we seeing some good signals it is SLOWLY recovering - yes. Are we anywhere near where the market was 4-6 years ago - no. This is just something to think about if you are considering buying or selling real estate in the Winter Park Area.
