Whats for dinner in the Winter Park area? We have a wonderful selection of various cuisines in the Fraser Valley. One of my favorite websites to see whats open is Grand County Menu Guide. After a long day of skiing at Winter Park Resort, or hiking in the summer in the surrounding mountains of Arapaho National Forest, here are some ideas on where to go to complete your day. There are several different Mexican restaurants in the area. El Pacifico from Grand Lake opened a second location in downtown Fraser, right across from Crooked Creek Saloon and Eatery. Azteca is also in Fraser, across the street from Safeway. Julios is located right next door to Alco. For Mexican, any of them are wonderful. My personal favorite restaurant in Fraser for breakfast or lunch is Sharkys, next to the Conoco. Also worth noting is Elevation Pizza near Alco and the sub shop located within the Conoco. Winter Park has many options, also. Mountain Grind in Cooper Creek Square offers special coffees plus wonderful homemade soups and daily specials. Also in this shopping center in downtown Winter Park is New Hong Kong for spectacular Chinese food, along with Star of India for authentic Indian food. Smokin Moes is the barbecue restaurant in this complex and is also the home to our incredible, on-going Blues events. Across the street from this shopping mecca isDeno's, along-time Grand County favorite. Its a bar, its a nightclub, its fine dining with an amazing wine list. Fontenots for Cajun food is located down the street, along with DeAntonios for east-coast style pizza and Italian food. Hernandos has some of the best pizza around, serving honey with the thick, wonderful crust. Smokehouse BBQ is another great alternative for barbecue. Roadhouse Grill is next door to Denos and from their wonderful outside deck, you can truly unwind with their wonderful offerings. Randis Irish Saloon is located just in front of Wells Fargo Bank and serves dishes with an Irish flair. And finally, Carvers has moved to the north end of town and is serving up their famous breakfast and lunches in a new location. With so many choices, you are sure to enjoy the culinary delights of Winter Park and Fraser Colorado!
