Fraser River Bike Trail - by Dan Gile

Bike trails around Winter Park can be intimidating. Not everyone is ready for a black diamond trail or for that matter even a blue. Here are a couple of bike trails for everyone. You will follow the scenic Fraser River passing several beaver dams and early in the morning you just might see moose, deer or beaver. The paved path can be assessed on the lower end at Beaver Village on the east side of Hwy 40 or on the upper end at Trademark Condos. If youre a little more adventuresome (still a trail for anyone) try the gravel trail that can be accessed on the lower end by taking the foot bridge behind Safeway in Fraser and on the upper end at the footbridge near the entrance to Rendezvous in Winter Park. Either of these trails will provide you with great views, lots of wild flowers and a little exercise.
