Community enhancement projects are vital pieces of our economic well being. Our rural resort community depends upon volunteerism, fundraising and community support. As primary and second homeowners, we all benefit from recreational, educational and social improvements to our community. The Fraser Valley Recreation Foundation, a 501c3, is spearheading a fundraising and grant writing campaign to improve the playground area of our Fraser Sports Complex: a wonderful asset to visitors and residents of our resort community. If you haven't been, you must visit the Fraser Valley Sports Complex. It is home to an NHL sized seasonal ice arena equipped with locker rooms, restrooms and concessions. Check HERE for drop in skating, lessons, hockey schedules, etc. This is the newest anchor to our 40 acre park which also houses an innovative Community Garden area with greenhouse, regulation Little League fields, soccer fields, picnic pavilions, baseball/softball fields and much more. This hub of recreation just outside of Fraser is in desperate need of new playground facilities as the current structures are 17 years old and are no longer considered safe nor are they ADA compliant.
