Did you know that July is a Blue Moon month? There are two astronomical definitions of a Blue Moon; both are a type of Full Moon. When the Moon very rarely actually looks blue, it's because of a certain size dust particles in the atmosphere. The most common definition is a second full moon in one calendar month. We have a full moon now, on July 1^st, and the second full moon will occur on Friday, July 31^st. After this blue moon, the next one wont occur until May 21, 2016.
