Fall in Grand County - by Katie Riemenschneider

All I can say is Wow! As many of you know, this is the best time of year to be in Winter Park and Grand County, Colorado! Over the past weekthe leaves havestarting to change throughout Grand County. We usually get to enjoy the fall colors until mid October, but this year they've turned quickly. Get out on the trail or take a drive now, so you don't miss them. The biking trails are in fabulous condition! No mud, ruts, or puddles! Hiking is fabulous, especially with monsoon season over, and minimal rainfall. Know that hunters might be on the trail, so be aware and dress in bright colors. The elk are bugling in Rocky Mountain National Park and throughout Grand County. Keep your eyes and ears open as the bull elk put on their annual show to impress and protect their ladies! Get out and take advantage of the beautiful Grand County weather this fall...it is only a matter of time before we see our first snowfall! Days are bright and gorgeous, while nights are crisp, clear, and cool! Come enjoy fall in Grand County, Colorado! It truly is the best!
