Held annually in Hydeaway Park, Winter Park Music Festival is a popular one-day music festival, drawing out crowds towards the end of summer. This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, August 27. Gates open at 10 a.m., but you wont have to worry about it selling outbecause this festival is free! Starting things off this year will be The Rick Lewis Project, scheduled to play from 12:30 - 2 p.m. Based out of Winter park, drummer Rick Lewis and his accompanying band perform a mix of rock, as well as popular covers! Spearheaded by the vocals of Sarah Snead, and backed by atalented cast featuring two guitarists, a bass player, and two keyboardists, The Rick Lewis Project is a display of local talent that you dont want to miss! Following The Rick Lewis Project is Great White! These classic rockers hailing from Los Angeles have been crafting their sound since the 80s, and theres a good chance that youve heard their hit songs like Once Bitten Twice Shy and Rock Me. Their accessible brand of rock and roll is sure to get your feet tapping in no time. Headlining this year's festival is none other than Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe! The frontman for one of rock music's most famous bands will close out the festival, performing from 4:30 - 6 p.m. Expect a mix of Crüe songs and solo numbers from this legendary singer!
