Discover Granby Ranch

Granby Ranch was created with the intent of making a space where families could experience time together away from the distractions of city living. As such, there are many different kinds of outdoor activities available.

Outdoor Recreation

Explore the Slopes

Granby Ranch hosts a variety of skiing opportunities that range in difficulty as well as terrain. Regardless of your skill level, the trails start at the same point on the peak of the mountain and end at the base, making it easy for the whole family or groups with varying skill levels to enjoy a day skiing together. For a complete listing of trails, see Granby Ranch's ski map. If you're a beginner or if it's been a while since you've strapped on a pair of skis, you can start with the easier trails and improve your skills across the terrain. Granby Ranch also provides private and group lessons, if you are looking to vastly improve your abilities. If you're looking for a challenge, try tree skiing or the terrain park. The East Mountain provides more of the easy to intermediate level ski trails, while West Mountain is home to the most difficult trails. For a unique and particularly breathtaking experience, take advantage of one of the night ski evenings! If downhill skiing is not your preferred winter activity, you can also choose to ski cross-country or snowshoe along the Nordic trail systems located on East Mountain and the golf course.

Go Mountain Biking

Granby Ranch offers a series of trails for mountain biking. As with the ski trails, there is a good mix of difficulty levels represented within both the Downhill Mountain Bike Park and Cross Country Trails, though the former is better for advanced riders and the latter for beginners. Choose from rocky, single track, bike paths, and dirt roads while you explore the scenery of the mountain.

Take a Hike

Granby Ranch gives you access to 5,000 acres of majestic views of the Rocky Mountains, Fraser River, and Winter Park. Explore the beauty of Colorado at your own pace as you walk along the Cross Country Trails and take in the crisp, fresh air and sights of lush trees and wildlife.

Cast a Line

Try your luck at catching brown, rainbow, or cutthroat trout when you take a guided fishing tour at Granby Ranch. You'll have access to a private three-mile stretch of the Fraser River nestled between two mountain ranges, which sets the scene for a tranquil afternoon of fly fishing.

Hit the Greens

Granby Ranch features an 18-hole championship course set among the splendor of the Rocky Mountains. The greens at Granby Ranch are recognized as one of the top mountain golf courses in the state, and it's no surprise, given the incredible scenery and its Nicklaus design.

Other Activities

While Granby Ranch has a wealth of outdoor recreation, that isn't all it has to offer. Periodic events include concerts, sports competitions, seasonal festivities, and more. The Granby Ranch Grill and 8350 Bar & Bistro provide convenient options for dining and après activities combined with fantastic views of the slopes.
