Come out to Winter Park Resort each weekend in April to enjoy a variety of thematic events suitable for adults and children. The biggest event is the Spring Splash, in which competitors pond skim in an attempt to reach the finish line! Your Guide to This Years Winter Park Spring Splash
Weekend One
The first weekend of the Winter Park Spring Splash features two events. Uphill Battle and The Big Wonderful Beerfest. The Uphill Battle event is a poker meets skinning or snowshoe competition, in which participants battle for the best costume and poker hand! The Big Wonderful Beerfest is just what it sounds like lots of locally brewed beer, food vendors, and live music! Beer lovers, if you like this event, be sure to attend the annual Winter Park Beer Festival during the summer.
Weekend Two
The second weekend of the Winter Park Spring Splash is geared more toward families. Wild West Weekend offers a free country music concert, axe throwing, a mechanical bull, and more! There are also pony rides and roping classes for the kids to enjoy. This is also Easter weekend, so, of course, there will be an Easter egg hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny himself, and a ski race.
Weekend Three
Yearning for a beach vacation? Participate in Beach Weekend at the Winter Park Spring Splash. This Hawaiian-themed weekend features a volleyball tournament, live music, fruity drinks, and more. Its the perfect way to get a taste of vacation in your own backyard!
Weekend Four
The fourth and final weekend of the Winter Park Spring Splash is the most anticipated weekend of the month! Enjoy a 90s-themed party on the Parkside, then watch the events oldest tradition, the pond skim. Each year, spectators watch skiers as they skim across an icy pond to reach the finish line.
